Help promote true autism awareness:

Sign the petition to Sesame Street to reconsider their partnership with Autism Speaks

And support companies that partner with pro-neurodiverse charities, like ThreadMeUp.

  1. I think a lot of businesses and companies want to support autism, so they just Google "autism" and find what looks like the biggest organization. Their hearts are in the right place, but they should just do a little more research... maybe by reading blogs by people with autism!

    1. Indeed. Autism awareness is not the same as understanding. But Chili's, to their credit, listened and backtracked. Hopefully others will follow.

    2. Good for Chili's. Maybe I should start eating there once in a while.

  4. Here's a song I wrote on AO3, with the lyrics below in case it gets pulled. Do you think it will make Major League Baseball reconsider its own partnership?
Take me out to the ball game
Take me out with the crowd
    We help charities harm Autistics
We don't care if that makes us seem dicks
Let me root, root, root for eugenics
    If they don't kill it's a shame
For when Autism $peaks strikes, you're out
    At the old ball game
